Xerf is currently indicated for:
- Face & Neck: Tightening around the cheeks, jawline, chin, and neck for improved definition and smoother skin.
The following indications are currently off label.
- Abdomen: Firming loose abdominal skin, particularly post-pregnancy or weight loss.
- Arms & Thighs: Reducing skin laxity and improving contour.
- Buttocks & Hips: Enhancing firmness and tone.
Most patients require a series of sessions (typically 2 treatments spaced 1 month apart) for optimal results. Each session lasts 60 -90 minutes.
Results are progressive, with the full effects developing over 2–3 months as new collagen forms. Maintenance sessions every 6–12 months help preserve results.
While Xerf is safe for most patients, certain individuals are not suitable candidates. Contraindications include:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active cancer treatments
- Metal implants in the treatment area
- Active skin infections, lesions, or open wounds in the treatment area
- Recent dermal filler injections or certain cosmetic procedures (within a recommended timeframe)
- Implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers or defibrillators
