What is RF?
RF therapy uses low energy radiation to heat the deep layer of your skin called the dermis. This heat stimulates the production of collagen to help improve signs of wrinkles and sagging skin. Research has found that RF therapy is usually safe and can be effective at treating mild or moderate signs of aging.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a procedure that involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger
What is RF Microneedling?
Microneedling with radiofrequency is a minimally invasive treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scarring, and sagging skin. The addition of radiofrequency energy to the microneedling procedure helps to further stimulate the body’s natural collagen and healing processes revealing firmer, rejuvenated skin.

What are the benefits of using RF Microneedling? (RFM)
Radio Frequency (RF) microneedling devices use special needles that deliver high-intensity radio frequency energy into the targeted tissue once the needles have broken through the skin. This gives a uniform warming effect to the deep tissue, which helps to stimulate new collagen fibers to grow, leading to significant improvement to skin quality and texture.
The RF energy heats the underlying layers, causing constriction and tightening of the skin, as well as the stimulation of collagen and elastin production. Because the RF energy is delivered so deeply, it can produce faster, more dramatic results.
Microneedling with radiofrequency is a great option for skin tightening and resurfacing to treat wrinkles, lip lines, acne scars, other depressed scars, and stretch marks, and it can be used regardless of skin phototype.
One of the great things about microneedling with radiofrequency is that it is color blind. Unlike lasers, microneedling with radiofrequency delivers energy in a way that is not chromophore dependent. Therefore, it is safe to use in patients with darker skin types.
What conditions does it treat?
It’s true that the majority of patients seek microneedling RF treatment for its anti-aging benefits like smooth, taut skin and a less wrinkled appearance, but it also corrects scarring due to acne. The collagen that the procedure creates helps fade your scarring
Rejuvenation, acne, acne scars, and skin laxity are the most common concerns that we treat with radiofrequency microneedling devices.
Cellulite, skin laxity, and striae are other conditions that have been successfully treated with RFM

Is the procedure painful?
The pain associated with fractional radiofrequency microneedling may be more than traditional microneedling but is very manageable using standard pain management techniques. Topical anesthetics like lidocaine, applied at least 30 minutes before treatment, are generally adequate to minimize discomfort during treatment.
How many sessions are required?
A series of treatments (3-5) are typically required for successful results.
Depending on the severity of the problem, more treatments may be necessary for optimal results.
How long do the treatments last?
Depending on the area treated, each treatment lasts approximately 45 minutes.
How long does it take before you see results?
As soon as the deepest layers of your skin are penetrated by the needles, “micro-wounds” are created. This triggers your body’s wound healing processes to heal your micro wounds immediately. However, the most dramatic results will not be visible until four to six weeks after treatment.
Results are enhanced after a series of treatments.
The results are long lasting, but to maintain your results a booster treatment is recommended every 12 to 18 months because the aging process continues
Is Microneedling RF safe?
Radiofrequency microneedling is a safe and effective treatment for acne scars, hyperhidrosis, rosacea, skin laxity and skin rejuvenation and is a key device to help treat problems of skin texture in all skin types.
