What is body sculpting?
It involves decreasing areas of fat in undesired areas and tightening the skin to sculpt the area treated.
Fotona’s Tightsculpt, also known as TightLase, is a non-invasive laser treatment for body sculpting and tightening.
It’s is a 2-step treatment using 2 laser wavelengths to safely stimulate the metabolism of the fat cells. The ND:YAG PIANO mode works to reduce the presence of fat cells, which is then followed by the Er:YAG SMOOTH mode for skin tightening. It uses the same principles as the Fotona 4D treatment of the face.

How does it compare to CoolSculpt?
Unlike CoolSculpt, which uses cold to freeze fat cells, Tightsculpt uses heat to reduce fat cells. It isn’t painful because the surface skin area is cooled while the laser simultaneously heats the fat below the skin’s surface to destroy the fat cells. The second step of the treatment tightens the skin surface allowing the skin to follow the contour of the body after the fat reduction.
This is unlike other treatments meant for tightening and shaping the body because the TightLase treats the skin surface and laxity while simultaneously reducing fat cells.
Who is not a candidate?
Non-invasive laser body sculpting is not a substitute for weight reduction and exercise, and is not indicated in patients with a high BMI.

What areas can be treated?
All areas of the body can be treated including the abdomen, arms, flanks and legs and chin.
This treatment is ideal to treat areas with a small amount of fat and skin laxity.
The effect is an overall improvement in small fat reduction with synergistic improvement in skin elasticity.
How long does the treatment last?
Since the treatment uses a scanner, a large surface area can be heated to desired temperature in 15 minutes without pain or discomfort.
